Another Murder Mystery Party… Murder Among the Mateys… Arrr…

It was that time of the year again – my birthday! And what better way to celebrate it than with an awesome murder mystery. Since the success from last years’ Murder in Sin City, all my friends kept on asking when I’ll host one again. Who am I to deny them such a reasonable request? So ahead we went and decided on something that required a lot more dressing up and a lot more role playing – pirates!

First things first. The garage was once again transformed, this time into The Salty Sea Dog Inn tavern. A place where all from Port Royal, and a few stray pirates, could get together for one rum-filled evening.

I invited my closest friends – those who are always up for a dress up party – and we banded together on The Jaded Jewel for a voyage to the Salty Sea Dog Inn and one epic party.

Little did we know that murder was afoot, someone had hit the rum reserves a bit too hard, and a body later we were exposed to Dirty Wiggins and her bathroom interrogation techniques. The ghost of Merciless Morgan was travelling around, extorting coin for answers (depositing it into One-Eyed Wanda’s purse) and leading the investigation astray. In the end, it was only Governor Napier who had truly known who the killer was.

It was a night filled with booze, pizza and awesome personalities. Everyone really embraced their roles, they came dressed to kill and were so in character it was scary. Mad Rose was even tending bar and handing out shooters! I had a blast and, hopefully, so did everyone else!

This was a great night out! Many people may think it’s not their cup of tea, but I say everyone should try a Murder Mystery Party at least once in their life. There is a definite learning curve, & some pick it up far quicker than others (Sune’)….Come the next evening though, I’ll be ready for you’ll!

Again, a huge thank you to Natasha the birthday girl (& of course Hettie) for inviting Sune’ & I to join in on the fun. :-)

Ah! Thanks! You guys were awesome and so in character. But I still want to know how Sune managed to get so much coin… She was like a magician. 😛

We look forward to your Murder Mystery! It’ll be great to attend one where I don’t have to worry about hosting as well. :)
